Overview

About this role

Contracts, compliance, and Nigerian data-protection (NDPR) on retainer.

Responsibilities

What you'll do

Draft and review commercial contracts, including client agreements, vendor contracts, and NDAs

Advise on Nigerian data protection compliance (NDPR), privacy policies, and terms of use

Support intellectual property protection for our content and platform

Advise on employment law matters as we build our team

Monitor regulatory developments in African edtech and data protection

Requirements

What we're looking for

5+ years of legal experience, with a focus on commercial and/or technology law

Qualified to practise in Nigeria

Strong understanding of data protection law (NDPR/GDPR)

Experience drafting and negotiating SaaS or technology contracts

Available on retainer basis

Nice to have

Bonus points

Experience in edtech, SaaS, or technology startups

Knowledge of data protection regimes in other African countries

Experience with intellectual property registration and enforcement
